Built in 1932, it is the second oldest course in Spain and is located in lush, green surroundings. Enjoy a break in its stylish restaurant or snack bar but be warned – this is such a popular club that open sessions are only available on weekdays between 8am-12.30. An early start, but its definitely worth it for this one.
Tricky golfers will find Amarilla Golf a welcome challenge. The purpose built resort, designed by Donald Steel, uses the landscape and natural beauty of the area to its advantage. Here you’ll find yourself trying to get a hole in one whilst opposite an astounding mountain range and even find yourself hugging the coastline at others – one hole even requires you to chip over the incoming sea! Built on an old banana plantation, the Golf Costa Adeje course was the location on the 2003 Men’s Spanish Open, so you’ll be playing in good company. With 27 holes near the mountains, sea and more, it has hints of the old plantation with a colonial style clubhouse and low walls.
